Tantalum Diamond Ring

Kris has crafted a distinctive tantalum and gold ring that breaks away from the usual jewellery norms. The tantalum shank provides as a rare unique choice for women’s rings but also shines as a contemporary one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery.

The ring boasts three key features that create a striking contrast between the dark, otherworldly tantalum, the warm red gold, and the brilliant white diamonds pave-set within the hand sculpted ring. The mix of the two metals called for a special joint inspired by Sam Maloof, a renowned furniture craftsman.

This joint shares cutting and hand-shaping techniques with the Sam Maloof woodwork joint but adds an extra step, soldering a small piece of gold to bridge over the tantalum. This artistic touch is visible in the connection between tantalum and gold on the back of the ring, paying respect to the tradition of master craftsmanship.

A delicate and feminine ring with subtle yet significant presence. The eye-catching dark tones of tantalum with contrasting red gold and bight white diamonds, this ring showcases Kris's artistry and breaks the mould in traditional jewellery for these mixed metals. For those desiring a unique statement piece that goes beyond the usual.
