Sterling silver is a practical, attractive and affordable option for any jewellery-lover, with a beautiful white shine. While pure silver is prone to tarnishing and scratching, 925 sterling silver has the visual benefits of silver with a 92.5% purity. The addition of 7.5% copper provides durability to the silver, maintaining that bright, shiny white while increasing resistance to damage.
Silver is our most affordable jewellery option, thanks in part to how abundant it is, as well as how easy this unique precious metal is to work with.
If you like the idea of silver, it's worth noting that silver rings are more susceptible to tarnishing when in humid environments or in contact with specific chemicals. Always remember to clean your silver jewellery if it has been stored away, this is particularly important to do prior to your wedding day. Silver can also tarnish when swimming, it is therefore advisable to remove your ring before jumping in the pool– not to worry if you forget as a quick clean with a polishing cloth will remove the tarnished effects.

The instated carat system offers an easy way for jewellers to detail the specific proportion of gold used within an alloy. The higher the carat, the more gold content within the alloy – and the higher the quality as a result. We offer rings in 9ct, 14ct and 18ct in yellow gold specifically.
9ct yellow gold has the lowest gold purity at 37.5%. For many jewellery lovers, a higher carat is appealing. However, the use of 62.5% of other metals makes this particular carat of gold hardwearing and long-lasting, combating the softer nature of gold itself.
14ct yellow gold is generally considered middle-of-the-road and is popular thanks to its warmth, affordability and relatively high gold content of 58%. 18ct gold, meanwhile, is softer thanks to a 75% gold purity and is also heavier as a result.

While yellow gold continues to be one of the most popular choices of precious metal, white gold is an increasingly beloved alternative that combines standard yellow gold with palladium, silver and platinum to achieve a beautiful silvery shade.
First introduced in the 1920s, white gold has long since been a popular choice for those who enjoy the look of white metals and the precious nature of gold. As such, it's no surprise that white gold is amongst our best-selling metals.
Much like yellow gold, our white gold is available in three different carats: 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct. Our popular 14ct white gold contains a purity of 58% gold and 42% palladium with a small amount of silver for an attractive finish.
Our affordable 9ct white gold offers a lower purity of 37.5%, with much of the rest of the alloy containing silver to achieve that attractive silver look. The specific proportions may vary based on the supplier of the white gold.
None of our white gold is rhodium-plated, which allows it to retain its beautiful original and unique colour. 9ct white gold takes on a warm champagne-like tinge, while our higher-percentage white golds offer a light silvery grey-white colourway. When brush finished the grey hues are accentuated whereas polished your ring will shine bright and white.

An elegant modern option for those who aren't fans of classic gold, rose gold is created through the combination of gold and copper in an alloy for a vintage, unique final effect.
As with all our other golds, our beautiful rose gold is available in 9ct, 14ct and 18ct. 18ct represents the highest purity in our range, with 75% gold alloyed alongside copper and small traces of silver. The tasteful final product is soft in tone, similar to rose champagne.
14ct rose gold delivers a 58% purity, with rosier tones thanks to a higher copper percentage. 9ct rose gold has a 37.5% gold purity, and as a result, is a far more pronounced, coppery shade ideal for standing out. The specific proportions and percentages can vary depending on the particular supplier.

Platinum is one of the most-desired metals for wedding bands. 95% purity platinum alloy is typically the format used for wedding rings and other meaningful jewellery pieces. The remaining 5% may be formed from cobalt or ruthenium, depending on the specific supplier used.
Hardwearing and corrosion-resistant, platinum is a top choice for many luxury jewellery pieces. Hypoallergenic qualities make this particular metal suited for anyone. Should platinum jewellery be scratched, the metal isn't removed - instead, the platinum is displaced, maintaining the same volume and purity as before.
While platinum is widely considered extremely strong, it can still show scratches and have a patina when it is worn day-in-day-on. This patina typically appears as an overall 'sheen' on the ring, resulting from frequent wear and countless minor scratches. While some prefer the worn satin look, others may opt for a jeweller to restore their platinum ring to a shiny, new condition.

An extremely rare and valuable metal choice, palladium has all the visual appeal of platinum with none of the additional density. It is the second most expensive metal in the world, largely due to it scarcity but also due to its unique characteristics making it popular in other industries. The classic white-silver shine finish is long-lasting, and palladium's corrosion and tarnish-resistant nature make it an appealing prospect for wedding bands.
Since January of 2020, palladium has held a compulsory hallmark which is carried out through UK Assay offices– proving that this unique metal truly has its place amongst the other precious metals. This hallmark includes the amount of palladium within the alloy.
Our purity standard for palladium is 95%, with the remaining 5% of our pieces created from ruthenium.

As a non-toxic and fully biocompatible material this is the ideal option for those with sensitive skin or allergies, titanium is even used for surgical implants as the human body doesn't try to reject it. As a darker metal, titanium has a unique finish when polished to a bright grey shine or left matte for a masculine gunmetal finish. Titanium can even be worn when swimming, thanks to its resistant nature.
Wedding bands made from titanium are more popular than ever, especially for those concerned about damaging or tarnishing a ring in their day-to-day work. It is made more affordable thanks to its abundance. Still, the artistry required in crafting and shaping this particularly robust material – which has only been recently developed - makes it a little more costly.

If you're passionate about a modern, alternative wedding ring, zirconium could be top of your list. With excellent resistance against corrosion and high durability, zirconium is a wonderful material choice for wedding bands. It's so strong that it's even used in the storage and transport of chemicals and within nuclear reactors.
Zirconium is also non-toxic, so it works perfectly for those with sensitive skin or allergies. In its original form, zirconium is an attractive grey white. However, by putting this material through an oxidation process through heating, unique black zirconium can be created. This results in a hard, black coating that can't be used with wood inlays due to the intense heat process.
