Additionally, we then can provide you a series of complimentary metal test rings to ensure 100% accuracy before crafting your final ring.   • The ring size gauge is like a little belt/cable-tie for your finger. Pop it on and adjust it until it feels comfortable, then simply read off the size shown. 

    When should I use it?

    To get the best results, use the gauge at various times of the day and in different temperatures. 

    What if my chosen ring is wider than the gauge?

    The free ring size gauge is 5mm wide. If the ring you’d like to buy is 8mm, we’d recommend going up by half the size shown on the ring gauge.

  • While the free (Cable-Tie) plastic ring sizer is a useful starting point for estimating your ring size, our metal test band service surpasses the conventional methods typically found in local high street stores.

    With us, you have the unique opportunity to determine your own size based on the initial measurement obtained from the (Cable-Tie) ring sizer, allowing us to provide you with a range of metal test bands.

    These test bands are dispatched for you to wear over several days, accommodating natural fluctuations in hand and finger size as your body temperature changes throughout your daily activities.

    We kindly request that all metal test bands be returned via Royal Mail Signed Delivery at the client's expense. This process is invaluable as it customises the ring size to your finger perfectly.

    This service is available for any of our titanium, tantalum, zirconium, gold, or platinum rings. Once you've made your purchase, we'll promptly send you a metal test band for you to wear and assess for comfort. If necessary, we can repeat this process, though please keep in mind that each test band trial will impact the turnaround time.

    We recommend allowing approximately two weeks for this service.

    Please note that metal test bands are not currently available for silver rings.

  • The traditional way to determine finger size is to visit two or three quality jewellers and to ask them to measure your finger. If they agree, then that’s the size you need. However, there are caveats to this method. Factors like the width of the ring, time of day, and even the weather will influence the size that the jewellers find.

    There are lots of things to consider, including:

    Temperature - Temperature can have a significant effect on our hands, and fingers swell or shrink in any extreme temperature. It’s important to get any measurement done on an average sort of day to have the best chance of finding an accurate fit.

    Ring width - If your new ring is going to be especially wide or narrow, this will have an impact on the fit. For this type of ring, using one of our free test bands is invaluable.

    Finger shape - While you may be aware of the impact of temperature fluctuation and ring width, you may not be so familiar with the role that finger shape plays in getting a good fit. A tapering finger needs a ring that is a snug fit at the base, without any bulges or indentation. If the wearer has a larger knuckle, then the balance is found when the ring fits over the knuckle, but still sits snugly at the base. People with this shape finger may find they need to use a bit more force to get their ring on and off.
