A handmade titanium ring exploring contrast, precision and pattern. The cross patterning is carefully created to give the surface a subtle geometric detail, revealed as the ring catches the light.
The design is laid out under a microscope before the details are individually machined. The diamonds are hand set directly into the titanium, requiring precision and specialist skill due to the hardness of the material. The precious metal rivets are made from solid silver or gold wire, TIG welded using a microscope welder, then shaped and finished by hand to create the distinctive contrast between titanium and precious metal.
